by The ILDR Institute summer internship program for 2025 is open to law students from 1st to 4th year. This offers students a basic exposure to legislative drafting work, legal research, policy research work, etc. The legal interns work under the guidance of legal professionals. Interns take part in the processes of bill drafting and they are taught parliamentary systems and work processes. These activities are meant to help students gain and improve their knowledgeengagement with legislative processes and governance.
Responsibilities of the Intern: ILDR Summer Internship Purpose
The Institute of Legal Drafting and Research, which is part of the Ministry of Law and Justice in the Department of Legal Affairs, has internship aims to inspire, educate, stimulate interest and improve skills in the uses of law to policy and regulation so as to achieve Law, Policy, and regulation multi-track initiatives.

Prospective Notice from ILDR that offers an internship to students pursuing integrated 5-year LL.B. Course,
LL.B. 3 year Course and B.A. Law Three Years Course
Time Frame: Legislative Department Internship
Minimum 1 Month
Maximum 3 Months

The candidates alongside submitting application forms must attach a Character Certificate.
Annexure B has a template for Character Certificate which can be issued by the Head/ Principal/ Dean of the institution, First Class Magistrate or First Class Gazetted Officer and is adorned with their signature.
